Musnad Ahmad 16905 — Hadith of Mu'awiyah ibn Abi Sufyan
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ ابْنِ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْعُمْرَى جَائِزَةٌ لِأَهْلِهَا "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “‘Umra’ is permissible for the person for whom it is made.”
