حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ ابْنِ رَبِيعَةَ ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الدِّمَشْقِيِّ أَخْبَرَهُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْيَحْصَبِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا فَقَّهَهُ فِي الدِّينِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: When Allah intends good for a servant, He grants him understanding of the religion.
