(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ أُسَامَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنِي مِسْعَرٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يِسَافٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ ظَالِمٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : ذَكَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فِتَنًا كَقِطَعِ اللَّيْلِ الْمُظْلِمِ أُرَاهُ ، قَالَ : " قَدْ يَذْهَبُ فِيهَا النَّاسُ أَسْرَعَ ذَهَابٍ " ، قَالَ : فَقِيلَ : أَكُلُّهُمْ هَالِكٌ أَمْ بَعْضُهُمْ ، قَالَ : " حَسْبُهُمْ ، أَوْ بِحَسْبِهِمْ الْقَتْلُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Saeed bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned those tribulations which will spread like pieces of a dark night, and people will depart from this world very rapidly during them. Someone asked, "Will all of them be destroyed or only some?" He replied: "Their matter will be according to killing."
