Musnad Ahmad 16355 — Hadith of Abu Talhah Zayd ibn Sahl al-Ansari
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " إِذَا غَلَبَ قَوْمًا أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُقِيمَ بِعَرْصَتِهِمْ ثَلَاثًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Talhah that when the Prophet (ﷺ) gained dominance over a people, he liked to stay there for three days.
