(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي الْعَاصِ ، قَالَ : آخِرُ مَا عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أَمَمْتَ قَوْمًا ، فَأَخِفَّ بِهِمْ الصَّلَاةَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave me the last advice, and it was this: When you lead the people in prayer, make the prayer short for them.
