Musnad Ahmad 15899 — Hadith of a man from the people of Badr
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ كُرْدُوسًا ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ بَدْرٍ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَأَنْ أَقْعُدَ فِي مِثْلِ هَذَا الْمَجْلِسِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أُعْتِقَ أَرْبَعَ رِقَابٍ " .
It is narrated from a Badri companion that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Sitting in a gathering of admonition like this is more beloved to me than freeing four slaves.
