(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ عِيسَى أَبُو بِشْرٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ الرَّاسِبِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي وَسَأَلْتُهُ ، فَقَالَ : كَانَ " خِضَابُنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْوَرْسَ , وَالزَّعْفَرَانَ " .
Abu Malik says that I heard my father, in response to a question, say that during the time of the Prophet (ﷺ), we used to dye things with wars and saffron.
