Musnad Ahmad 15579 — Hadith of Hakim ibn Hizam from the Prophet
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الشُّعَيْثِيُّ ، عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَدَنِيِّ , عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تُقَامُ الْحُدُودُ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ ، وَلَا يُسْتَقَادُ فِيهَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hakeem bin Hizam that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Punishments should not be carried out in mosques, nor should retribution (qisas) be taken in them.
