Musnad Ahmad 15327 — Musnad of Hakim ibn Hizam from the Prophet
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ , وَابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْخَلِيلِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْبَيِّعَانِ بِالْخِيَارِ ، مَا لَمْ يَتَفَرَّقَا ، فَإِنْ صَدَقَا وَبَيَّنَا ، بُورِكَ لَهُمَا فِي بَيْعِهِمَا ، وَإِنْ كَذَبَا وَكَتَمَا ، مُحِقَتْ بَرَكَةُ بَيْعِهِمَا " , وَقَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ : مُحِقَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hakim bin Hizam that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The seller and the buyer have the option (to cancel the transaction) as long as they do not separate. If both speak the truth and clarify everything, they will be blessed in their transaction. But if they lie and conceal something, the blessing of their transaction will be taken away.
