Musnad Ahmad 15307 — Musnad of Safwan ibn Umayyah al-Ajami
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ يَعْنِي التَّيْمِيَّ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ يَعْنِي النَّهْدِيَّ , عَنْ عَامِرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الطَّاعُونُ شَهَادَةٌ ، وَالْغَرَقُ شَهَادَةٌ ، وَالْبَطْنُ شَهَادَةٌ ، وَالنُّفَسَاءُ شَهَادَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Safwan bin Umayyah in a marfu’ form that dying from the disease of plague, or from a stomach illness, or by drowning, or in the state of postnatal bleeding, is also martyrdom.
