(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " غِلَظُ الْقُلُوبِ وَالْجَفَاءُ فِي أَهْلِ الْمَشْرِقِ ، وَالْإِيمَانُ فِي أَهْلِ الْحِجَازِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Hardness of hearts and oppression and harshness are found among the people of the East, and faith is among the people of Hijaz."
