(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الظُّهْرَ ، فَآخُذُ قَبْضَةً مِنْ حَصًى فِي كَفِّي لِتَبْرُدَ حَتَّى أَسْجُدَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ شِدَّةِ الْحَرِّ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that we used to perform the Zuhr prayer with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so I would pick up a handful of pebbles in one hand and place them in the other hand, and when they became somewhat cool, I would put them on the ground and prostrate on them because of the intense heat.
