(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَجْتَنِي الْكَبَاثَ ، فَقَالَ : " عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْأَسْوَدِ مِنْهُ ، فَإِنَّهُ أَطْيَبُهُ " ، قَالَ : قُلْنَا : وَكُنْتَ تَرْعَى الْغَنَمَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، وَهَلْ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا قَدْ رَعَاهَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were picking arak (Salvadora persica) fruit with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Collect its black seeds, for they are very good." We asked, "Did you also tend sheep?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, and every prophet has tended sheep."
