(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا يُسْأَلُ هَلْ بَايَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ ؟ قَالَ : لَا ، وَلَكِنْ صَلَّى بِهَا ، وَلَمْ يُبَايِعْ عِنْدَ الشَّجَرَةِ إِلَّا الشَّجَرَةَ الَّتِي باِلْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وأَخْبَرَنَا ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا دَعَا النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى بِئْرِ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ .
Someone asked Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) whether the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took the pledge of allegiance at Dhul-Hulaifah. He replied: No. There, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) only performed prayer, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not take the pledge of allegiance under any tree except the tree at Hudaybiyyah. Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) himself used to supplicate at the well of Hudaybiyyah.
