حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِقِصَّةٍ فِيهِ , فَقَالَ ابْنُ أَخِي سَعْدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ : قَدْ ذَكَرُوا بَنِي نَاجِيَةَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " هُمْ حَيٌّ مِنِّي " , وَلَمْ يُذْكَرْ فِيهِ سَعْدٌ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that when Banu Najiyah were mentioned before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said, "I am from them and they are from me."
