(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَسَمَّوْا بِاسْمِي ، وَلَا تَكَنَّوْا بِكُنْيَتِي ، فَإِنِّي أَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ، أَقْسِمُ بَيْنَكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Name yourselves after me, but do not take my kunya, for I am Abu al-Qasim and I distribute among you."
