(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، وَرَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَقُولُ : " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا خَطَبَ ، يَسْتَنِدُ إِلَى جِذْعِ نَخْلَةٍ مِنْ سَوَارِي الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَلَمَّا صُنِعَ لَهُ مِنْبَرُهُ اسْتَوَى عَلَيْهِ ، اضْطَرَبَتْ تِلْكَ السَّارِيَةُ كَحَنِينِ النَّاقَةِ ، حَتَّى سَمِعَهَا أَهْلُ الْمَسْجِدِ ، حَتَّى نَزَلَ إِلَيْهَا ، فَاعْتَنَقَهَا ، فَسَكَتَتْ " ، وَقَالَ رَوْحٌ : فَسَكَنَتْ ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ بَكْرٍ : فَاضْطَرَبَتْ تِلْكَ السَّارِيَةُ ، وَقَالَ رَوْحٌ : اضْطَرَبَتْ كَحَنِينِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to deliver sermons leaning against the trunk of a tree. When the pulpit was made and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sat on it, that wooden trunk began to weep like a she-camel cries for its young, and all the people present in the mosque heard its sound. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to it and embraced it, and then it became silent.
