Musnad Ahmad 13846 — Musnad of Anas ibn Malik
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا بَزَقَ أَحَدُكُمْ ، فَلَا يَبْزُقْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ ، وَلْيَبْزُقْ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ الْيُسْرَى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you wants to spit, he should not spit to his right side, but rather to his left side or under his foot.
