(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَمِرٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " مَا صَلَّيْتُ وَرَاءَ إِمَامٍ قَطُّ ، أَخَفَّ وَلاَ أَتَمَّ مِنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that I have not prayed behind any imam lighter and more complete prayer than the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Sometimes the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), upon hearing the cry of a child, would shorten the prayer, fearing that the child's mother might be distressed.
