(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عِيسَى ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَبْرٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : " عَادَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غُلَامًا كَانَ يَخْدُمُهُ يَهُودِيًّا ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : قُلْ : لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ، فَجَعَلَ يُنْظَرُ إِلَى أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ لَهُ : قُلْ مَا يَقُولُ لَكَ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَهَا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ : صَلُّوا عَلَى أَخِيكُمْ " ، وَقَالَ غَيْرُ أَسْوَدَ : أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ، وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ لَهُ : قُلْ مَا يَقُولُ لَكَ مُحَمَّدٌ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Jewish boy used to serve the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Once, he fell ill. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to visit him, and his father was sitting by his head. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) advised him to recite the Kalimah. The boy looked at his father, who said, "Obey Abul Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him)." So the boy recited the Kalimah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Offer the funeral prayer for your brother."
