(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلَا أُعَلِّمُكَ كَلِمَاتٍ إِذَا قُلْتَهُنَّ غُفِرَ لَكَ ، عَلَى أَنَّهُ مَغْفُورٌ لَكَ : لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَلِيمُ الْكَرِيمُ ، سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ ، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me, "Shall I not teach you such words that when you utter them with your tongue, your sins will be forgiven, even though your sins have already been forgiven? Recite these words: «لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَلِيمُ الْكَرِيمُ سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ.» 'There is no deity except Allah, He is Forbearing and Generous. Allah is free from every defect and imperfection, He is the Lord of the Great Throne. All praise is for Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.'"
