Musnad Ahmad 12352 — Musnad of Anas ibn Malik
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَتِمُّوا الصَّفَّ الْأَوَّلَ ، ثُمَّ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ ، فَإِنْ كَانَ نَقْصٌ فَلْيَكُنْ فِي الصَّفِّ الْمُؤَخَّرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: First complete the front row, then the next one after it, and if there is any deficiency, it should be in the last row.
