(حديث مرفوع) قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَحَانَتْ صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ ، فَالْتَمَسَ النَّاسُ الْوَضُوءَ ، فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا ، فَأُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِوَضُوئِهِ ، " فَوَضَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ذَلِكَ الْإِنَاءِ يَدَهُ ، وَأَمَرَ النَّاسَ أَنْ يَتَوَضَّئُوا مِنْهُ ، فَرَأَيْتُ الْمَاءَ يَنْبُعُ مِنْ تَحْتِ أَصَابِعِهِ " ، فَتَوَضَّأَ النَّاسُ حَتَّى تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ عِنْدِ آخِرِهِمْ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the time for Asr prayer approached, and people searched for water to perform ablution but could not find any. The water that was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for ablution, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his blessed hand in its vessel and instructed the people to perform ablution with that water. I saw that water was gushing forth from beneath the fingers of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and people kept performing ablution with it until everyone had completed their ablution.
