Musnad Ahmad 12192 — Musnad of Anas ibn Malik
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَيْنَ أَبِي ؟ ، قَالَ : " فِي النَّارِ " ، قَالَ : فَلَمَّا رَأَى مَا فِي وَجْهِهِ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ أَبِي وَأَبَاكَ فِي النَّارِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "Where will my father be?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "In Hell." Then, when he saw signs of displeasure on the man's face, he said, "Both my father and yours are in Hell."
