Musnad Ahmad 11079 — Musnad of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِح ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَسُبُّوا أَصْحَابِي ، فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لَوْ أَنْفَقَ مِثْلَ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا مَا بَلَغَ مُدَّ أَحَدِهِمْ وَلَا نَصِيفَهُ " .
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not speak ill of my companions, for if any one of you were to spend gold equal to Mount Uhud, it would not reach the measure of a mudd of one of them, or even half of it.
