حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ , حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ , حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي , عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا يَنْبَغِي لِعَبْدٍ أَنْ يَقُولَ : أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not appropriate for any servant to go about saying, "I am better than Hazrat Yunus (peace be upon him)."
