قََالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٍ , عَنْ سُمَيٍّ مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ السَّمَّانِ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَمْشِي بِطَرِيقٍ ، وَجَدَ غُصْنَ شَوْكٍ عَلَى الطَّرِيقِ ، فَأَخَّرَهُ , فَشَكَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ , فَغَفَرَ لَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: A man removed a thorny branch from the path of the Muslims, Allah appreciated this act and because of its blessing, he was forgiven.
