حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا حَرْبٌ , حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى , أَخْبَرَنَا بَابُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ , حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ , أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا تُتْبَعُ الْجِنَازَةُ بِصَوْتٍ ، وَلَا نَارٍ , وَلَا يُمْشَى بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Fire and sounds (musical instruments) should not be taken along with the funeral, nor should anyone walk ahead of it.
