حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ , حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ , حَدَّثَنَا سُهَيْلٌ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَأَنْ يَجْلِسَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى جَمْرَةٍ حَتَّى تَحْتَرِقَ ثِيَابُهُ , وَتَخْلُصَ إِلَيْهِ , خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَطَأَ عَلَى قَبْرٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: It is better for any one of you to sit on a burning coal that burns his clothes and reaches his skin than to sit on a grave.
