حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ , حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ , عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " مَا جَلَسَ قَوْمٌ مَجْلِسًا ، فَتَفَرَّقُوا عَنْ غَيْرِ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ ، إِلَّا تَفَرَّقُوا عَنْ مِثْلِ جِيفَةِ حِمَارٍ , وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ الْمَجْلِسُ حَسْرَةً عَلَيْهِمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
It is narrated with the same chain that the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When some people gather at a place and disperse without mentioning Allah, it is as if they dispersed from the carcass of a dead donkey, and that gathering will be a cause of regret for them on the Day of Resurrection.
