حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ يَعْنِي بْنَ سُلَيْمَانَ , عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ , عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , عَنْ سَلْمَانَ ، قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَيُبَيِّتُ الْقَوْمَ بِالنِّعْمَةِ , ثُمَّ يُصْبِحُونَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَافِرُونَ , يَقُولُونَ : مُطِرْنَا بِنَجْمِ كَذَا وَكَذَا " , قَالَ : فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، فَقَالَ : وَنَحْنُ قَدْ سَمِعْنَا ذَلِكَ مِنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Allah Almighty bestows His blessing (rain) upon some people at night, and in the morning most people, being ungrateful, say that it rained on us due to the influence of such-and-such star.
