حَدَّثَنَا مَحْبُوبُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ , عَنْ خَالِدٍ , عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " تَسَمَّوْا بِاسْمِي , وَلَا تَكَنَّوْا بِكُنْيَتِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Name yourselves after me, but do not take my kunyah (patronymic name) as your kunyah."
