حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ , أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ , عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ , عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا قُلْتَ لِصَاحِبِكَ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ : أَنْصِتْ , فَقَدْ لَغَوْتَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the Imam is delivering the Friday sermon and you say to your companion, "Be quiet," then you have engaged in idle talk.
