حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ , عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ فَرُّوخَ الضَّمْرِيِّ الْمَدَنِيِّ , قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ , يَقُولُ : أَشْهَدُ لَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , يَقُولُ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يَحْلِفُ عِنْدَ هَذَا الْمِنْبَرِ عَبْدٌ وَلَا أَمَةٌ عَلَى يَمِينٍ آثِمَةٍ , وَلَوْ عَلَى سِوَاكٍ رَطْبٍ ، إِلَّا وَجَبَتْ لَهُ النَّارُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever, man or woman, swears a false oath near this pulpit, even if it is about a fresh miswak, Hell becomes obligatory for him.
