حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ذَرُونِي مَا تَرَكْتُكُمْ ، فَإِنَّمَا هَلَكَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ بِسُؤَالِهِمْ وَاخْتِلَافِهِمْ عَلَى أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "As long as I leave you, you also leave me (i.e., do not ask unnecessary questions). Because the nations before you were destroyed only due to excessive questioning and differing with their prophets (peace be upon them)."
