حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ , عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ لَمْ يَدَعْ قَوْلَ الزُّورِ وَالْعَمَلَ بِهِ وَالْجَهْلَ ، فَلَيْسَ لِلَّهِ حَاجَةٌ أَنْ يَدَعَ طَعَامَهُ وَشَرَابَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever does not give up false speech, actions, and ignorance while fasting, then Allah has no need for him to leave his food and drink.
