حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ , عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا سَكِرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ ، ثُمَّ إِنْ سَكِرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ , ثُمَّ إِنْ سَكِرَ فَاجْلِدُوهُ , ثُمَّ إِنْ عَادَ الرَّابِعَةَ , فَاضْرِبُوا عُنُقَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever drinks alcohol, flog him. If he drinks again, then flog him again. If he drinks a third time, then flog him again. And if he drinks a fourth time, then execute him.
