Hazrat Zuhri says that when I met Hazrat Abdullah, it was as if I was causing an ocean to flow through him.

Hazrat Abdul Malik bin Maisarah says that Hazrat Dahhak did not meet Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them), Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah be pleased with him) met him at the place of Ray and learned Tafsir from him.

Hazrat Hasan narrates that Hazrat Fatimah was buried at night.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Mughaffal narrates that Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam passed by a piece of land and said: This is the beginning of the year 40 AH, in which a peace treaty was made. The narrator states that the group of Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) was at the beginning of the year 40 AH.

Hazrat Mushash says that I asked Hazrat Dahhak whether he had met Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them). He replied, "No."

Hazrat Sha'bi says that Hazrat Abu Bakr, Hazrat Umar, and Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with them) passed away but they did not compile the Qur'an.

It is narrated from Yunus that when Saeed bin Abu Al-Hasan passed away, Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) became very deeply grieved and distressed. When this was mentioned to him, he said: I have not heard that Allah ever criticized the distress and grief that befell Yaqub (Jacob) due to the separation from Yusuf (Joseph). Hasan said: When Utbah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away, Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) became very sorrowful. When he was spoken to about this, he said: By Allah, when Allah has decreed what He has decreed, I do not like to pray about it and have my prayer answered.

36586 - Al-Hasan said: When Utbah ibn Mas'ud died, Ibn Mas'ud grieved over him, and when he was spoken to about that, he said: By Allah, when Allah decrees what He decrees, I would not like that I called him and he responded to me (1).

Hazrat Abu Ishaq states that Hazrat Qais bin Sa'd bin Ubadah served the Holy Prophet ﷺ for two years.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Ishaq that Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) wrapped Hazrat Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) in a cloth and took him to the presence of the Prophet ﷺ. He was the first child born in Islam (the first child born in Madinah).

Hazrat Hammam narrates that Hazrat Abu Dawood, who was blind, went to Hazrat Qatadah. When he left from him, people said to Hazrat Qatadah: This person narrates from eighteen Badr companions (may Allah be pleased with them). Hazrat Qatadah said: He used to ask questions before the plague that caused destruction. He knows nothing about this. By Allah, Hasan and Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib did not narrate directly from any Badr companion, except for Hazrat Saeed who narrates from Hazrat Saad.

Hazrat Amr bin Murrah says that I asked Hazrat Abu Ubaidah: Was Hazrat Abdullah with the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) on the night of the jinn? He replied: No.

Ibrahim narrates that when this was mentioned to Alqamah, he said: I think our companions were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

It is narrated from Hazrat Fazl that he says: I asked, how many companions did Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) meet? He replied, one hundred and thirty companions. I asked, how many companions did Hazrat Ibn Sirin meet? He replied, thirty.

Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Abzi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I offered the funeral prayer of Hazrat Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her) with Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). She was the first lady among the pure wives to pass away after the demise of the Prophet ﷺ.

Hazrat Hisham narrates from his father that two years before the Hijrah to Madinah, Hazrat Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) passed away. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) married Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her); at that time she was six years old, and she went to live with him at the age of nine.

Hazrat Abu Ishaq says that I was born in the second year of Hazrat Usman's caliphate. Hazrat Shareek said: He was buried during the days of the Khawarij.

36596 - Sharik said: And we buried him during the days of the Khawarij.

It is narrated from Hazrat Sha’bi that Hazrat Abu Musa wrote to Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that letters from you reach us, but we do not know their date, so please fix a date for us. Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) consulted the noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them). Some Companions suggested that the date should be fixed from the Prophethood of the Messenger ﷺ, and some other Companions suggested that the date should be fixed from the passing of the Messenger ﷺ. Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I will fix the date from the Hijrah of the Messenger ﷺ, because the Hijrah of the Messenger ﷺ is what distinguished between truth and falsehood. Thus, he fixed the date from the Hijrah.
