Ruling if a Man Divorces His Slave Wife Twice and Then Purchases Her

Hazrat Usman bin Affan and Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with them) say that it is not lawful for her until she marries another husband.

Hazrat Muhammad bin Ishaq states that I read written in the letter of Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) that it is not lawful for her until she marries another husband.

Hazrat Alqamah says that she is not lawful for him until she marries another husband.

Hazrat Masruq says that it is not lawful for her until she marries another husband.

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that he will not have intercourse with her.

Ibrahim says that she is not lawful for him until she marries another husband.

Hazrat Abu al-Duha and Hazrat Sha'bi say that she is not lawful for him until she marries another husband and the second husband has intercourse with her.

Ibrahim says that she is not lawful for him until she marries another husband.

Hazrat Abu Abdur Rahman asked Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that if a slave woman was in someone's marriage, he gave her one divorce, then she became separated (bainah), and the man bought her, what is the ruling now? Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) replied that she is not lawful for him until she marries another husband.

Hazrat Sha'bi says that she is not lawful for him until she marries another husband.

Hazrat Jabir bin Zaid says that she is not lawful for him until she marries another husband.

Ibrahim says that I asked Hazrat Ubaidah about this matter, and he forbade it.
