Discussion on performing ghusl on Eid days

Hazrat Ibn Abi Laila says that the day of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha is a day for performing ghusl (ritual bath).

A man asked Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) about ghusl (ritual bath), so he replied that the ghusl of Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr is a part of the religion.
