٤٠٥٨٦ - حدثنا ابن علية عن منصور بن عبد الرحمن عن الشعبي قال: لم يشهد الجمل من أصحاب (رسول اللَّه) (١) من المهاجرين والأنصار إلا علي وعمار وطلحة والزبير فإن جاؤوا بخامس فأنا كذاب (٢).
It is narrated from al-Sha'bi that no Companion of the Messenger from among the Muhajirun and the Ansar took part in the Battle of the Camel except Sayyiduna Ali, Ammar, Talhah and al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them). If any fifth Companion took part, then I am a great liar.
