Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 40513 — Reports on Uthman (may Allah be)

It is narrated from Umayrah bin Sa'd that when Sayyiduna Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) and their companions came, a man stood up from among the gathering and said: "I am so-and-so son of so-and-so, from the tribe of Banu Jusham." Then he said: "These people (Talhah, Zubayr and their companions) have come to you. If they have come because of some fear, then they have come from a place where even a bird has safety (that is, Makkah). And if they have come because of the killing of Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), then they themselves killed him. The opinion concerning them is that their animals should be goaded, so that they leave this place."
