Hadith 40166
٤٠١٦٦ - حدثنا وكيع عن النهاس بن (قهم) (١) قال: حدثني شداد أبو عمار عن معاذ بن جبل قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "ست من أشراط الساعة: موتي، وفتح بيت المقدس وأن يعطى الرجل ألف دينار فيسخطها، وفتنة يدخل (حربها) (٢) بيت ⦗٢٩٢⦘ كل مسلم وموت يأخذ في الناس كقعاص المغنم، وأن (تغدر) (٣) الروم فيسيرون (باثني عشر) (٤) تحت كل (بندٍ) (٥) اثنا عشر ألفا" (٦).
It is narrated from Hazrat Muadh bin Jabal that he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Six things are signs of the Day of Judgment: my death, the conquest of Bayt al-Maqdis, a person will be given a thousand gold coins and he will dislike it, and there will be such a tribulation that its sorrow will enter every Muslim household, and there will be a death that will afflict people like the 'qa'as' (a chest disease) afflicts goats, and the Romans will betray you; they will come numbering twelve thousand, and under every large banner will be twelve thousand men.
