Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 36913 — Reports on the breadth of the mercy
٣٦٩١٣ - حدثنا أبو خالد الأحمر عن بن عجلان عن أبيه عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "لما خلق اللَّه الخلق كتب بيده على نفسه: إن رحمتي تغلب غضبي" (١).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty created all of creation, He wrote with His hand concerning Himself: 'My mercy prevails over My wrath.'"
