Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 36070 — Balanjar

Al-Sha'bi said: When Sayyiduna Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) took part in the jihad in the region of Balanjar, a pouch of musk came to him in his share, which he left with his wife for safekeeping. Then in his final illness he said to his wife: "Bring me that pouch." Then he called for a clean vessel and said to his wife: "Mix this perfume with water and sprinkle it around me, for a creation of Allah (angels) is coming to me who do not eat food but do perceive fragrance." Then he said: "Now go outside and look in on me." His wife did this and went outside, and when she came back he had passed away.
