٣٦٠٢١ - وسمعت أبا بكر بن عياش يقول: كانت بنو أسد يوم القادسية أربعمائة، وكانت (بجيلة) (١) ثلاثة آلاف، وكانت النخع ألفين وثلاثمائة، وكانت (كندة) (٢) نحو النخع، وكانوا كلهم عشرة آلاف، ولم (يكن) (٣) في القوم أحد أقل من مضر (٤).
Abu Bakr bin Ayyash said: At the Battle of al-Qadisiyyah, Banu Asad were four hundred, Bajilah three thousand, Nakha' two thousand three hundred, and Kindah about the same. All of them together were ten thousand, and no one among the people were fewer than the tribe of Mudar.
