٣٥١١٣ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال: أخبرنا بن أبي ذئب عن العباس بن (فضل) (١) عن (أبيه فضل) (٢) بن رافع عن جده أبي رافع قال: كنت خازنا لعلي قال: زينتُ ابنته بلؤلؤة من المال قد عرفها، فرآها عليها، فقال: من أين لها هذه؟ إنَّ قال: زينتُ ابنته بلؤلؤة من المال قد عرفها، فرآها عليها، فقال: من أين لها هذه؟ إنَّ للَّه علي أن أقطع يدها، قال: فلما رأيت ذلك قلت: يا أمير المؤمنين زينت بها بنت أخي، ومن أين كانت تقدر عليها؟ فلما رأى ذلك سكت (٣).
Al-Abbas bin al-Fadl (may Allah have mercy on him) reports from his father that his grandfather Sayyiduna Abu Rafi (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I was the treasurer of Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). I adorned his daughter with a pearl from the treasury, which he recognised. When he saw it on her, he said: "Where did she get this from? Allah has surely made it binding on me to cut off her hand." He said: When I saw this, I said: "O Commander of the Faithful, I adorned my niece with it; otherwise how could she have obtained it?" When he saw this, he fell silent.
