Sa'id bin Jubayr reports from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), under "But I am sending them a gift," that he said: She sent gold, or a brick of gold. When they arrived with it, they saw that the walls of the city were of gold. This is the meaning of the saying of Allah: "Do you offer me wealth? What Allah has given me is better than what He has given you" [Al-Naml: 36], to the end of the verse.
