Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 25317 — Those who declared intoxicants
٢٥٣١٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن أبي جعفر عن الربيع عن أبي العالية أو غيره عن ابن مغفل قال: أنا شهدت رسول اللَّه ﷺ نهى عن نبيذ الجر، وأنا شهدته رخص وقال: "اجتنبوا كل مسكر" (١).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I was present with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when he (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the nabidh of earthenware jars. And I was present with him (peace and blessings be upon him) when he (peace and blessings be upon him) gave permission and said: "Avoid every intoxicant."
