Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 20708 — What is mentioned on the virtue

Sayyiduna Abu Rayhanah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Once we set out on a military expedition with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). One night it was extremely cold; because of the cold, the people's condition was such that they would dig a pit, enter it, and place their shields over themselves. On this occasion the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Who will guard us tonight?" A man of the Ansar said: "I will stand guard." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Who are you?" At this he stated his lineage, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed for good for him. Then he said: "Who will guard us tonight?" I said: "I will stand guard." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Who are you?" I said: "I am Abu Rayhanah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed for me, with less than he had prayed for the Ansari Companion. Then he said: "There are three eyes upon which the fire of Hell is forbidden: an eye that stayed awake in the way of Allah, and an eye that shed tears out of fear of Allah."
